USING FENCES IN YOUR LANDSCAPE

1. Depending on the level of privacy you are looking for, you might not need all fencing materials. Mix and match materials such as fencing, shrubs and hedging to make a privacy screen without building a barricade.
2. The level of privacy and security needed for a home can vary if you have children or pets. If you’re looking to create some sort of boundary to keep them enclosed, low, open fencing is a good option for you. To add more privacy without using plants, increase your fence to five or six feet to ensure you’re out of view when you are sitting.
3. When homeowners are trying to block sound or wind, they think a fence alone will do the job.  If you’re looking to eliminate sound and wind, try adding plants on the other side of the fence to absorb the sound.
